Caregivers who connect with cases through marta live in a household with the person in need of care for a certain period of time. Our dedicated care workers offer "24-hour care," taking charge of essential care and household responsibilities. From assisting with daily routines and medication reminders to simply being a friendly presence, our caregivers ensure the person they're caring for feels secure and at ease, day and night.
At marta, caregivers are matched with people requiring care in Germany. We operate independently without intermediary agencies, employing our teams in caregivers' home countries. Instead of separate "German" or "Romanian" agencies, we maintain multiple local teams in close collaboration. These teams handle caregiver recruitment, interviews, screening, and profile creation. The German team then presents these profiles to families seeking care. It's an interconnected approach that maintains personalized and quality care arrangements.

Once you sign up, we will add you directly to our database and contact you for every case that meets your requirements. Our app allows you to directly apply for caregiving opportunities. Once you find an offer that interests you, the process primarily depends on how quickly you and the family come to an agreement.
The family pays for your arrival and departure if they take place within the agreed period. If you want to leave earlier than planned, you may have to pay for the return journey yourself.
To apply for a position we offer, we need to create a profile. For this profile, it is sufficient to include a simple photo, as in any CV (it is an advantage if you are smiling in the picture). For the next steps, after family approval, we only need a photo of your ID. This is necessary, for example, to register with the insurance company or to draw up a contract.
We will accompany you during your work assignment, please let us know of any problems directly. You can always reach us by phone at any time and together we can look for a solution or a new family for you.
You receive the money by bank transfer directly from the family you work for. The family receives an invoice at the end of each month, which we send on your behalf. The transfer is usually made on the 1st of the month at the latest.
The specific tasks are agreed upon individually in advance. Basically, the tasks can be divided into basic care (help with personal hygiene, dressing, sleeping, etc.) and domestic tasks (washing, cleaning, shopping, cooking). You can learn more about that here
All contents and documents provided in any other language than German are solely for information purposes. The contractual language of marta is German. All contents, as well as the user agreement and terms of use, are to be read in German.
